The patent pending Flip-In’ Hinge is designed to allow a cabinet door to lift and recess into the interior of a cabinet with one fluid motion with the assistance of a gas spring. The gas spring assists opening and holds the door in the open position until manually closed by the user. Works on doors from ¾" to 1" thick and doors with applied moldings. Can be used in Under Cabinet, Full Overlay and Inset applications. It is suitable for commercial, residential interior or exterior, marine or aeronautical and recreational vehicles applications. The minimum door height for operation is 15" and this height clears many of the most popular small kitchen appliances that would be stored in a typical fashion. Our website offers technical information and full scale drilling templates for installation as well as CAD files in DWG/DXF format to allow the end user to see the full door motion and positions to confirm any specific clearances needed. Our product installs easily by attaching the pivot & rocker arms to the back of the door and the base plate to the interior of the cabinet then attaching the arms & base plate together with a couple of screws. One nice feature of this hinge is that it reduces, by half, the amount of door still protruding from the cabinet by utilizing the full depth of an upper wall cabinet. The other flip-up retractable door hardware currently on the market typically leaves 2" or more of space from the door to the back of the cabinet when fully recessed into the interior of a cabinet, not to mention the possibility of scratching the face of the door itself during operation or damaging the hardware by closing it prior to having the door fully forward and out of the cabinet.
